Susan Bilbao: "Me acerco a la fotografía de una manera tímida y tardía y descubro lo que ya imaginaba: un mundo expresivo lleno de posibilidades. Comienzo a trabajar como asistente de Plató en un gran estudio fotográfico donde acuden a realizar sus producciones fotográficas importantes nombres de la fotografía editorial y publicitaria del momento. Presumo de haber sobrevivido tres golpes de estado, la abdicación de una reina y celebrado la caída de un dictador (me habría gustado ver más de estas). My approach to photography is from my inside, from my entrails. I try to catch with what tunes with me or moves me. It is an intimate photography, lonely and silent from sights, feelings and bodies, depicting what I am not to talk about me. Manuel Bayo: Mi interés por la fotografía es intimista. Desconfío de lo que ven mis ojos y trato de enseñar en mis imágenes la imagen que esquiva las correcciones formales de la retina. ‘Mortal’, consecuencia imprevista de un viaje por la Grecia no monumental en 2005, constituye mi primer uso de una Lomo, una cámara poco formal, no muy predecible, infantil y, a veces, de mirada desgarrada. www.manuelbayo.com

My interest in photography is intimist.
