Frames

"Frames" is a series that explores the concept of “The painting within a painting”, a resource already used before the Renaissance, that turns the painting within in an object as real as the rest of the objects that are part of the complete work. The painting within is enhanced from the rest of the image in the eyes of the onlooker. The intention of “Frames” is to make a photographical rereading of this pictorial concept through Polaroid photographs. These have a frame of their own that is directly related with the framing chosen by the author in each image. It also accentuates the eternal metaphor of Photography as a window, an intermediate area between inner and outer, from someone who looks at the looked-at object, a space of communication, a way of leaning towards the lives of others but through which we finally live our own lives, because the window is simply the framing we see the world in.
