Annabel Werbrouck
After finishing her license in Geography at the ULB (University Libre de Bruxelles), Annabel Werbrouck completed her studies at the School of Photography Agnès Varda.
At first a great part of her work was centred on social photography, which allowed her to discover some worlds normally not so easily accessible.
She felt herself interested in people living on the margins of society, a "category" of the society she depicts in photographic series such as the one she made on people who live in trailer parks, on a housing project or on those child-headed households in Ethiopia for instance.
Following a dramatic milestone event in her life a few months ago, she turned herself towards a more intimate & personal kind of photography, with those two latest photographic series « Un matin… » and « Les amants».
