• Marta Areces was born in Grado (Asturias) in 1963 and it is not until 2005 that she begins to have contact with photography, making it her way of life quickly. She begins his apprenticeship in Oviedo and broadens looks and knowledge in workshops and courses throughout the rest of Spain. He has participated in numerous collective exhibitions, as well as in fairs and photographic conferences since 2011. His works "The Gift of Confidence", "Still the Earth" and "Before Glamor" have been exhibited in different Spanish cities Since 2015, it has been part of the “Contemporary” Exhibition Project as well as of the book of the same name published by the Editorial Factory, composed of 30 international photographers. Her latest work "Before the flowers wilted", published by Materia Editorial, is a delicate book in which the author narrates through 40 photographs and two texts the last three months of her father, on a journey of love and touching emotions.
